Richard Williams

WATERTOWN-  Richard Williams, age 70, passed away at his home on West Lynde Street, Watertown. NY on April 26, 2020.  He was born in Watertown on April 21, 1950 to Arthur and Lelia (Devers) Williams.

     Rick graduated from Watertown High School in the class of 1968.  He was a member of the varsity football and wrestling teams. 

     Rick was a natural craftsman as he mastered everything from construction to making jewelry, to gardening and more.  Rick was also an entrepreneur for over 30 years. He owned and operated multiple retail stores and several rental properties.

     Rick eventually transitioned to overseeing the refurbishment and beautification of North Watertown Cemetery’s, which was a project of love for him over a ten-year period as its Director.

     Over the years, Rick was part of the Elks, Boy Scouts, Mohawk Nation and much more.

     Rick is survived by his former wife Jackie Williams, former wife Carol Williams (predeceased); his sons David Robbins (Tammi), Nathon Williams, Ryan Williams (Paula), and daughter Sierra Dunn, and 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Rick also leaves behind siblings: Sandra (Williams) Nicholson, Arthur Williams, Danny Williams, and Randy Williams.
