Ray Christopher Williams

Ray “Christopher” Williams (68), of Black River, NY, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on October 24, 2023.

Ray, fondly known as Christopher, was born to RC and Neva Williams on October 15, 1955 in Laurel, Mississippi. Chris was a union member of the Oklahoma City chapter of Masonry. He very much enjoyed spending his free time watching Oklahoma University football and fishing at any location he could go too. His favorite fishing was on the Nisqually River in Washington State.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, RC and Neva Williams. Chris is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Whitmore (of Black River) and Ronda Williams (of Oklahoma City) and their husbands Wendell and Charles. He is also survived by his older sister, Sheri Lynn Leghorn (of Goldbar, WA). Chris has 2 grandsons, Colin (17) and Owen (13) Whitmore who attend Carthage Central Schools. The family would like to thank the staff and community members of Kamargo Apartments in Black River for being so wonderful to Chris and his family. Chris’  2 daughters will miss him very much. A memorial service will be held in Oklahoma City, OK at a later date.
