On January 21, 2025, Peter K. Priest died at his home with his cat named Chicken and some minnows named Bait, his sister being late to the party as usual.
Peter had been ill since May and had not been enjoying his usual pursuits but had been planning an ice fishing expedition on Lake Ontario.
Peter was bold and boisterous and had a quick wit and you never knew what he was going to come at you with. He loved to hunt and had an endless passion for fishing and his many exploits defined the meaning of “you can't make this shit up”, as anyone who ever went with him can attest to. When he wasn’t fishing he enjoyed going out drinking with his friends and meeting new people. While bold and in your face he had a hidden heart and he was the best son taking care of his parents James and Catherine Priest in their home as they aged and he was on call for his sister 24/7.
There will be no services but a celebration of life at a time yet to be determined.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home, Inc., Watertown. Online condolences can be made at www.clevelandfhinc.com.
