Paul Mack Obituary

Paul B Mack, 68 years old, died unexpectedly at home in Watertown NY on Monday morning, June 2nd, 2025.

Family and friends are welcome to come to calling hours on Sunday June 8th from 2-4pm, at Cleveland Funeral Home.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of fifteen years, Stacey (Kelly) Mack and his stepdaughter, Michelle Kelly.

Paul was one of ten children. He was the first boy, and our father was ecstatic when Paul was born. Finally a boy after six girls. His sister Norma (as a five year old) told the milkman “we had
a baby and she was a boy.”

Paul is survived by his siblings Martha Mack (Rene Gordon), Karen Sirakos (Thomas), Nancy Jessup (Lewis), Norma Mabe, Linda Tucker (Stephen), Brenda Mack, Mary Ellen Mack, Ronald Mack (Jacqueiline), and Alan Mack (Catherine). And many nieces and nephews (and grandnieces and nephews.)

Paul is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Terry Babyak and Allen Capone, and two sisters- in-law, Catherine and Julie Capone.

Paul was predeceased by his parents Alice and Bernard Mack, and brother-in-law Robert Kelly.

Young Paul worked for years as a paperboy on his bike in the Sunset Ridge area. He became a highly skilled machinist working at many local factories in Jefferson County, lastly at Carthage Machine Shop. He was the person to take apart and clean all of the machinery at Hall Ski Lift, so that they could ship it to the new buyer. He could listen to an engine, and tell you what was out of sync. He knew machines. When he did a job, he did it right.

And he loved to help other people, especially his friends and family. He also loved to party. And after his retirement, he liked to work on his house and developed an avid interest in gardening in his basement.

We all depended on Paul for his sound advice and humor. And even though he was kicked off of Facebook (at least) three times, he will be greatly missed. He was a good friend to many.

We will have a memorial for Paul to celebrate his life, later in the summertime.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree. Or send monetary donations to SPCA of Jefferson County.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home, Inc., Watertown.
