Patricia Ann (DeLadurantey) Bradley passed into the arms of her Savior on July 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Born on December 21, 1929 to Lena and Joseph DeLadurantey, she was the youngest of eight children. On July 31, 1949, she married Francis W. Bradley. They had been married for 50 years when he passed away in 2000. She raised seven children and was immensely proud of each one’s unique accomplishments. Her caring and nurturing ways will be remembered forever, along with her wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed listening to music, crafting, gardening, and became a voracious reader towards the end of her life.
Patricia’s greatest vocation was that of mother, which she accomplished with a spirit of resourcefulness, great love, and hard work. She and Francis built several businesses together and she was renowned for her amazing cooking talents, most prominently her apple pies and bread. She and Francis went through the Diaconate program for the Catholic church, and he was ordained a Permanent Deacon in 1985. They served in many communities, including Cape Vincent, Alexandria Bay, and Watertown, NY, as well as Las Cruces, NM and Titusville, FL. A graduate of the Watertown School of Commerce, she was a cook at Mercy Hospital and Ramada Inn. From 1980 to 1984, she was the housekeeper at the rectory at St. Vincent de Paul parish in Cape Vincent. Later in life, Patricia was a caregiver for several elderly people and retired at 81 years old.
Surviving are her children: Margaret Noll (Rodman), Thomas and Patricia Bradley (Watertown), Mark and Marie Bradley (Greenville, NH), Anne Bradley (Connecticut), Stephen and Joyce Bradley
(Watertown) and Christine Sharlow (Augusta, GA). She cherished each of her 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her two dear friends, Susan and Rachel.
She was predeceased by both her parents (Joseph DeLadurantey and Lena Sherman DeLadurantey), brothers Virgil, Leo, Kermit and Harold DeLadurantey, sisters Rena Morrow, Ruth Doran and Doris Neweth, her husband, her daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Edmund Davis, her son Kevin who died at birth, her grandson Michael Davis, her great-granddaughter Shauna Frederick, and two sons-in-law Charles Sharlow and David Noll.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 6 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at All Saints Catholic Church in Chaumont, NY. A funeral mass will be held there at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 7, with a mercy meal reception to follow. Donations may be made to Chaumont Volunteer Rescue.
