Markjon Amo

Markjon Amo, 64, of Watertown, NY passed away at Samaritan Medical Center on Thursday, October 31st, following a long battle with cancer.

Markjon was born in Watertown, NY on January 12th, 1960 to the late George B. Amo and Dorothy J. (Bell) Amo.

Markjon is survived by his wife Sandra (Brownell) Amo of 42 years, his children, Rachel (Joe) Eggleston and Mark R. Amo, both of Watertown, his siblings, Debbie (Brian) Cleveland of Clayton, and Tony (Laura) Morse of Sackets Harbor, and his grandchildren, Haley Amo, Ryan Amo, Macie Eggleston, Madee Eggleston, and Izaak Slate, along with many nieces and nephews.

Markjon is predeceased by his parents, and siblings, Justina Bellinger, Michael Amo, and Christine Sinclair.

He was a dedicated family man who would never hesitate to help anyone in need.

He worked at Cheney Tire for 35 years and then went on to Burville Power Equipment until his passing. His love of his work could be seen through the dedication he gave to his employers, and the faithful following of the customers which he served.

Calling hours will be at Cleveland Funeral Home of Watertown, NY on Wednesday, November 6th from 3pm to 6pm with a funeral service immediately following.

A graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery on May 29th at 11 AM.
