WATERTOWN- On Jan 12, 2021, Marjorie Naomi Lund Buckle, loving wife of Harry Vernon Buckle, devoted mother of Gregory Robert Buckle (Donna Lehr), Pamela Sue Simon (Jerome Simon), proud grandmother of Jackson Main (Carolina Huignard), Jessica Anamateros (Jason), Geoffrey Buckle (Amanda) and great grandmother to Dillon Anamateros, Inez Main, and Bode Buckle, passed away in peace at the age of 94 in Watertown, New York from complications from Covid. She is predeceased by her husband Harry and son Robert.

Marjorie was born on May 27, 1926 in Rochester, New York to Gust and Marie Lund. She attended West High School followed by many memorable years as an executive secretary at the Eastman Kodak offices in downtown Rochester. Marjorie left Kodak when she married her neighbor and sweetheart, Harry with whom she shared a full life of family and travel for 64 years.

While raising a family, Marjorie worked part-time at Laurelton Grammar School in Irondequoit, New York as a secretary; however, home was where she was most comfortable. She enjoyed sewing clothes and decorative items for her home, knitting sweaters for family as well as cooking Swedish food. Marjorie was known for her delicious desserts and homemade breads that were especially enjoyed by her grandchildren. Marjorie loved to travel and was fortunate enough to see many parts of the world with Harry and her children.

Our family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the following individuals at Marjorie’s last home, Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown, New York: Our angel and advocate since day one, Krista Smith. The director of nursing, Vicki Smithers who has been our rock, the caring men and women under the tutelage of Nurse Smithers: Shalamaar, Ariel, Heather, Jody, Sandra, Carol, and April. We cannot thank you enough for your genuine love and care.

Following cremation, the family will mourn privately.
