Marc Bryan Gross, 45, of Evans Mills, NY, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 27th, 2025 in the town of Clayton.
Marc was born on July 21, 1979 in Olean, NY to Timothy Gross and Karen “Candy” (Prouty) Urbatch. Marc graduated from Otto-Eldred High School in Duke Center, PA and primarily worked as a carpenter.
Marc was the ultimate hands-on outdoorsman, he loved the mountains and woodlands of Pennsylvania and could often be found hunting, fishing (especially for salmon), boating, canoeing, grilling, brewing beer and hard cider, gardening and growing herbs, or riding ATVs with his friends. He also loved chainsaws and building log cabins, one of his greatest personal achievements was graduating from log cabin school in Minnesota.
Marc had a huge heart and would help anybody, he always spoke very highly of the many work families he was a part of throughout the years and respected everyone’s contributions. Marc was a tough and adventurous man who was never afraid to try new things. He loved all animals and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his dogs Gunner, Dozer, and Finn. He was a firm believer that geese were much better gifts than flowers.
Marc is survived by his significant other, Jaime Austin of Evans Mills, his daughter Kalee Gross of Bradford, PA, mother Karen “Candy” Urbatch and step-father Bradley Urbatch of Eldred, PA, siblings, Matthew (Torrie) Gross of Kannapolis, NC, Kylee Gross of Erie, PA, nephews, Lukas Gross and Logan Gross of Kannapolis, NC, and many aunts and uncles.
Marc is predeceased by his father, Timothy Gross, his brother, Scott Gross, fraternal grandparents, Robert and Juanita Gross, maternal grandfather Theodore Prouty, and maternal grandmother Jacqueline Prouty.
A visitation will be held on Friday April 4th, 2025 from 10 AM to 11 AM with a service at 11 AM at the First Church of God, Eldred, PA with Pastor Jim Kazimer officiating. A small luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall following the service.
