Lorraine (Moulton) Wiley

Lorraine Wiley, 79, passed away on March 20, 2025 at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home with her sons by her side. Lorraine was born on July 8, 1945 to Harold and Gladys Moulton in Watertown, NY.

Lorraine started working at 17 in the cafeteria at Mercy Hospital in Watertown and dedicated 47 years there working her way up to confidential clerical positions.

After retiring she loved to indulge in her sacred ritual of Bingo and spoil her rescue cat Lucky.

A marriage to Frederick Wiley ended in divorce but they remained friendly throughout the years.

Lorraine is survived by her sons Christian (Darlene) Wiley and Philip Wiley. Grandchildren, Kerrigan and Brayden Wiley, Step-Grandchildren Anna (Caleb) Richter and their children Kayla, CJ, and Grace. Step-Grandchild Lyndsay (Joshua) Stein and their children Ella and Camden. Many nieces and nephews and her close work friend Deborah (Leon) Dickinson and their children Alex and Sara. 

We would like to extend a huge Thank You to the residents and staff of the 3rd floor at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home for all the love, care and compassion given to our mother during her stay. Also, a very special Thank You to Kara Pharaoh for all that you personally did for my mother, brother and me!!

You made this process much easier for all of us!! Thank you Kara!!

Lastly, Thank You all at Sam-Keep for putting up with and tolerating my mother’s antics and shenanigans!! I can take mom out of the Northside but could never take the Northside out of Mom!!

Arrangements are being handled by Cleveland Funeral Home, 188 W. Broadway St. in Cape Vincent, NY.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 12 PM with a memorial service at 1 PM with burial to follow at St. Vincent of Paul Catholic Cemetery in Cape Vincent, NY. Mom asks that if you can come to please dress casually. She was never a fan of getting all gussied up!! She was here for a good time, not a long time!!
