Linda A. Aubertine, 76, of Cape Vincent, passed away at her home on June 14, 2025.
Born in Watertown, NY on October 11, 1948, Linda was the daughter of Charles and Wava Bourquin. She was raised on the family dairy farm. She graduated from Cape Vincent High School where she met the love of her life, Terry Aubertine. Terry and Linda were married on April 1, 1967 in Rosiere, NY. Together, they operated their fifth-generation dairy farm.
Linda stayed home to raise her four children until they all entered school. She then worked as a nurse's aide for a number of years at The House of the Good Samaritan. Following that, Linda spent several years caring for her great nieces and nephews, whom she adored. When they began school, Linda took a more active role on the farm with Terry, where she fed, milked and cared for the cows and calves. Everyone who knew Linda, knew how much she loved her cows. Especially evident was her love for the baby calves.
Terry and Linda retired from farming in 2004. Linda was a talented seamstress, making clothes for herself and others, she skillfully sewed the bridesmaid dresses for her daughter's wedding. She was an incredible baker and you could always find a pan of brownies or freshly baked cake on her kitchen counter. The family looked forward all year to her homemade donuts at Christmas and could always expect homemade pies or cakes for their birthdays and anniversaries. Linda enjoyed her flowers, crossword puzzles, old movies, and more recently, Wordle.
Linda is survived by her husband Terry, four children and their spouses: Patrick (Rebecca), Gene (Nancy), Annette (Marty) Mason, all of Cape Vincent; Michael (Kimberly), Clayton; grandchildren: Chloe (David), Haley (Jack), Paige (Connor), Quincy, Zachary, Alexis (Flo), Sydney (Skyler), Eliza, Delaney (Ian), Mason; great grandchildren: Jack Stewart, Eliana Nuzzo, siblings: Louis Bourquin, Washington State, Chuck Bourquin, Chaumont, Sharon Johnson Clayton, Wendy (Andy) Binsley Cape Vincent, John Bourquin Cape Vincent, Wava Jean (Donald) Docteur Cape Vincent.
