Les Brooks, age 53, of Watertown, New York, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, while visiting his family in Irwinton, Georgia.
Arrangements: Celebration of life Services will be held at Parkside Bible Church, 491 Eastern Blvd., Watertown, NY, Monday, June 30th at 11:00 am.
Son of Leslie and Julie Sapp Brooks, Les was a native of Macon but lived in Biloxi, MS, before moving to New York at the age of 19. He served in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Drum in Watertown, NY. Les served his country proudly and continued to serve his fellow service men and women through his business, Freedom Mobility, where he built mobility enhancements in the homes of disabled veterans. He also worked for Marras’s Home care/Kinney’s Home care where he reached many people with compassionate care. Les was a board member on the town of Hounsfield planning committee and an active volunteer for the Wounded warriors of America project. Only the love for his wife, children, and grandson Everett could rival his love of fishing and hunting. Les had friends everywhere he went and always made the best out of any situation, never passing up an opportunity to play.
Survivors include: Wife, Tracie Smith Brooks of NY; Daughters and Sons, Courtney Brooks, Alexander Brooks, Andrew Brooks and Elliana Brooks all of NY; Sisters, Danielle (Matthew) Rogers of FL; Teresa (David) Stauter of MS and Jennifer (Ralph) Caputo of NY; Brother, Sean Brooks of Dexter, GA; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, teachers and friends.
