Fay Bilfield, of Carol Gables, Florida, beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend - and life of the party - left us on January 11th, 2024 after a battle with cancer. She passed away surrounded by her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters.
Fay was born in Syracuse, N.Y. to Joseph and Roslyn Rosen. Her family moved to Carthage, N.Y. when she was a child, and she was a graduate of Carthage High School. As a high school junior, she met her future husband, Bernard Bilfield of nearby Watertown. They were married for 37 years until his death in 1991. In 1995, she married Harry Friedlander, who predeceased her in 2016. Her brother, Harold Rosen, passed away in 2018.
Fay is survived by her daughter, Shelly Stamler, her son-in-law, Cliff Stamler, granddaughters, Sara and Marissa, their husbands, Allan and Brian, and great-grandchildren, Blake, Jake, Charlotte, Cameron, and Wyatt. The family is indebted to Fay’s aide and friend, Marie Romulus, for her devotion to her and our entire family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 22nd at Degel Israel Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home of Watertown, NY. Online condolences can be made at www.clevelandfhinc.com.
