Elvis A. LaVine

Elvis Anthony LaVine, a lifetime resident of Carthage, NY. Passed away January 27, 2024 at the age of 61. Elvis was born to the late Robert N. Sr. and Sharon R. LaVine.

Survivors included: his brothers Robert Jr. LaVine, Phillip (Bonnie) LaVine, William (Tammy) LaVine and 5 nieces and nephews. 

Elvis was preceded in death by: His parents Robert Nelson Sr. LaVine, Sharon Rose (Walker) LaVine and brother Derek LaVine.

A celebration of life was held on February 11, 2024 at the High Rise Apartments in Carthage where he was a resident since 1997.

Elvis grew up on the family farm near Natural Bridge where he very much enjoyed being a home body. He was always inside spending time with his Mom and Grandma baking, canning (then enjoying the fruits of their labor) and of course watching their favorite t.v. shows.

Elvis had a love for keeping up with current events and sharing his opinions with others. Elvis had a heart for giving to those in need which was evident by all the correspondence with the VFW that was found in his apartment by his family. Until Covid removed the option of many community events from being held at the High Rise, Elvis was a big part of planning and getting people involved with whatever activity was being held.
