Carl E. Rippe

Carl E. Rippe, 77, of Chaumont, NY, passed away on June 5, 2026, at Samaritan Medical Center.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Becker-Cleveland Funeral Home, in Chaumont, NY.

Born on May 4, 1949, in New York City, New York, Carl was the son of the late Hermann and Rosemary Rippe.

Carl married the love of his life, Elizabeth Arevalo, on December 15, 1974. Together they shared many years of love, companionship, and devotion.

A hardworking farmer throughout much of his life, Carl found his greatest joy in farming and spending time in his fields. He took pride in the work of the land. He enjoyed the time he spent outdoors tending to his fields and farm. Carl also had a special affection for his beloved black Labrador retrievers, which were constant companions over the years.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Arevalo) Rippe, his sons, Joseph Rippe of Seneca Falls, NY, and Richard Rippe of Tully, NY, sister-in-law Amy Lloyd-Rippe of Warwick, RI, niece Deirdre Rippe of Santa Clara, CA, and nephew Peter Rippe of Providence, RI

In addition to his parents, Hermann and Rosemary Rippe, Carl was predeceased by his brother, Mark Rippe.

Carl will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of farming, his devotion to his family, and his appreciation for the beauty and rewards of a life spent close to the land. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at All Saints Church in Chaumont, NY on Friday June 19th at 12PM, with a calling hour to follow.
